Intestinal stenosis in Crohn's disease most often affects the terminal ileum and represents a clinical challenge. Imaging techniques such as intestinal ultrasound, CT enterography and magnetic resonance enterography allow assessment of the entire intestinal wall and associated peri-enteric findings. In this systematic review, researchers provide a detailed summary of the definitions, diagnosis and monitoring of strictures in Crohn's disease. They considered data from 56 studies. In this review, they summarize the improvements needed to better define strictures and discuss parameters for image acquisition and standardization.
