Over the past decade, hip joint-preserving surgery has gained tremendous interest worldwide. A better understanding of hip joint pathophysiology, and new surgical techniques including hip joint arthroscopy, have led to an increasing demand for training and teaching opportunities among European orthopaedic surgeons in order to improve knowledge and practical skills. BAT stands for Basic, Advanced and Traumatology courses. The programme we are presenting here consists of two courses, the Basic Course and the Advanced Course. The courses build on each
other and consist of theory lessons plus ample hands-on and small group sessions. There will be plenty of opportunities to familiarise yourself with both arthroscopic and open surgical techniques to address pathomorphology. Expected treatment results, complications and failure prevention will also be broadly discussed.

EFORT/EHS aims to contribute to improving European surgeons’ skill levels in this expanding field, to provide the greatest benefit to patients.

The faculty panel is composed of respected experts who will share their vast experience with the audience in workshops and live surgeries
