15th EURETINA Congress (ESRS) 2015
Programme du congrès
Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the Board of the European Society of Retina Specialists it is my great pleasure to welcome you to Nice for the 15th EURETINA Congress.
I am proud to say that each year we have seen the scientific programme of the congress expand. The 2015 programme is the most extensive to date, boasting almost 150 scientific modules across three and half days, to include main sessions and instructional courses, international society symposia and keynote lectures. In a drive to build international relations we are once again hosting the World Retina Day on Saturday. This sees scientific contributions from over 20 international vitreoretinal societies and in my opinion adds a truly unique element to our Congress. The didactic programme has expanded to include 48 instructional courses and 5 surgical skills courses, for those who wish to gain a more interactive learning experience from the Congress.
Abstract submissions remain extremely high in both volume and standard, with just short of 1000 applications received across free papers, posters and videos. As ever we facilitate as many free paper presentations as the scope of the programme allows, while posters and videos can be viewed throughout the congress at ePoster stations. Meanwhile we will be awarding the prize for best video during the Opening Ceremony
at 4pm on Thursday. It has been most rewarding to see the EURETINA Congress grow from strength to strength over the last number of years. This is thanks to the participation of highly regarded speakers and the willingness of so many delegates to travel to hear their contributions. EURETINA is most grateful as always to the Industry for their continued support through participation in the exhibition and satellite symposia, as well as through sponsorship of various aspects of the meeting.
